Hope everyone had a grande holiday season and are starting off with an awesome happy new year!

Classes begin this Sunday, January 7th ~ Yay!  January's schedule is below along with curriculum. If ever you think of songs you'd like to dance, please feel free to drop me a note via email or post here on the blog. As the year's events unfold, I will continue to post it here.  Please share if you know of any as well.

'Ohana Christmas Pa'ina

Looking forward to our 'Ohana Christmas Pa'ina planned at the Schilling Ballroom Sat. Dec 22 from 3pm-8pm. Games, White Elephant, & Potluck.  Great for all the 'ohana to get together wala'au (talk stories), kau kau (eat), hula, and kanikapila (play music). Hoping you all can make it.  Please email/post number of keiki so we can plan for games and please bring a wrapped gift for each keiki (max $10)...Aloha no! E na keiki o Na Pua o Keko'olani a me na wahine o Hui Nohona Aloha, Awesome performance despite the rains! Cannot begin to express the pride felt for you Hawaiians and Hawaiians at heart putting aside the weathering of the rain to put on a smile and a great performance. Mahalo a nui!

To the Special Olympic athletes - IMUA! Wonderful job!

Pairing up with Hui Nohona Aloha once again to perform a special show for our talented athletes at Kadena Special Olympics 2012!  We wish all the competitors the best of luck tomorrow!

November Schedule

As requested, a weekday keiki hula class has been added. Students can choose either Sunday or Tuesday classes. This new class can also be used as a make-up class. Please see schedule listed below and review halau and class information on the links provided.

Simply an update on a few topics...

• Tahitian Schedule: Tuesdays, October 9, 16, 23, 30 from 7:30p-8:30p
• New students welcome, tuition Y5000
• Tengan Castle show rescheduled to October 6; however, this is not our group performing
• Still looking for keiki to participate in November 3 White Beach show (afternoon, 1hr show)
• Prorated classes are no longer available (other than typhoon days or emergency leave)
• Keiki Hula available on Tuesdays 6:00p-7:00p with minimum 5 students. Please email punikahakai@gmail.com for sign up

One more storm on its way. Tengan Castle show has been postponed till another date can be scheduled, and hopefully this storm will be out of Okinawa by Sunday morning.

Speaking of which, our makeup for the last storm (Sep 16) will still be on for this Sunday at the following times:

Please bring your keiki in to finish off our hula, Keanuenue and I love You, Hilo.  I'd like to move on to a new hula next month and introduce hula implements.
